standing in the gap

Our Mission

Dorill Initiative (Dorill) is a revolutionary arts and culture institution committed to unleashing the boundless potential and radical power of At-Promise Youth, fueling movements that defy oppressive systems and ignite a creative uprising.

Through unapologetically rigorous and grassroots arts education, we forge Young Citizen Artists into disruptors, training them to tell their raw, authentic stories through high-caliber artistic mastery, bold academic inquiry, intentional self-awareness and civic action.

We are equipping the Next Generation of DoERs to not just lead, but to dismantle, reimagine, and rebuild communities as visionary change-makers who challenge the status quo and stand fiercely in the gap for equity and justice.

Our Vision
and our Values

Dorill envisions a revolutionary world where holistic arts education is a fundamental right for every community, dismantling barriers that silence and overlook. We strive for a society where families are not just seen and heard but are the heartbeats of our creative revolution, and where every young artist is recognized as a catalyst for change, unleashing their boundless potential to reshape the narrative of their lives and communities.

We unapologetically embrace every individual who enters our space, ensuring it is a haven where all can boldly express themselves without fear, challenging conformity and celebrating the richness of our diverse identities.

We fiercely dismantle barriers to access by radically sharing resources that fuel our personal, professional, and collective growth, ensuring everyone can seize opportunities and thrive in the face of systemic inequality.

We will boldly cultivate open minds in the face of misunderstanding, unapologetically extending patience to ourselves and others as we confront biases and embrace the transformative power of collective growth.

We uplift and amplify voices that are not our own, boldly creating brave and safe spaces that demand recognition, respect, and celebration of diverse perspectives, challenging the status quo of exclusion.

We embody transformative leadership by resolutely committing to our own growth while fiercely advocating for and nurturing those in our charge, challenging the systems that seek to hold us back.

To love is a revolutionary act and ignites a radical force that defies oppression, embraces all identities, and fuels a relentless movement for equity and justice.
