#TheDorillWay is our founder’s method and progrommatic approach to empower our underestimated and overlooked young citizen artists who are too often forgotten.

Through our interdisciplinary arts education programming, we are on coaching our DoER Young Citizen Artists to become team builders + collaborators, creators, problem-seekers and project managers who seek opportunities to have a positive impact on their communities. Each lesson allows student’s to engage in Creative Maker Spaces – learner-driven, culturally responsive-sustaining spaces with multidisciplinary experiences that promote artistic + creative expression, academic enrichment, civic + community engagement.

SATURDAY ARTS DORILL is a FREE exploratory multidisciplinary arts education program focused on teaching composition as a bridge between art and community. Program is held in-person at The Lower Eastside Girls Club centering on developing our young citizen artists who are often underestimated and overlooked as they become team builders +  collaborators, creators, problem-seekers, and project managers. Participants are provided the opportunity to use the arts as a catalyst to tell their stories, empowering them to transform the issues that are relevant to their lives and the larger communities.

If you’d like to get in touch with us, please email info@dorill.org or fill out the form on the Contact Us page.

Summer Arts Dorill is a FREE four-week intense multidisciplinary arts program held both in-person and virtually from July 5th – July 30th which fosters engagement and exposure to the arts for youth between the ages of 10 and 18 years old. Our aim is to expand upon young people’s artistic capabilities + creativity, broaden their awareness of the arts, and encourage them to recognize high school/college prep and professional opportunities in arts-related fields.

CLASSES ALSO INCLUDE

If you’d like to get in touch with us, please email info@dorill.org or fill out the form on the Contact Us page.

IN-SCHOOL ARTS DORILL is a growing program, curated to respond to the removal of arts education from our NYC public schools by providing an interdisciplinary arts-based curriculum centered on dance, drama, digital media, music and visual arts. Our curriculum is focused on expanding each student’s artistic capabilities, broaden their awareness of the power of arts + community, and ensure they have a platform to tell their story.

The Dorill Initiative believes every young artist and the community they live in deserve to reach their limitless potential – we can not do this important work without your support. There are various ways to support our organization.
