Dorill Interns will work alongside Dorill staff, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup arts organization providing support in areas related to development, fundraising, marketing and outreach efforts. In addition to daily responsibilities, interns will have access to Dorill events and be able to work with our Board of Directors. No stipends at this time, but full-time positions may be offered in the future after completing this internship.

The Administrative Intern will gain non-profit management experience in a energized startup environment by supporting DORILL INITIATIVE with general administrative support including data entry, organization of program materials, filing, maintaining office hours, organizing tabling outreach, volunteer and intern recruitment, recording committee meeting minutes, and a variety of ever-emerging office tasks. The intern will work directly with our Executive Director in support of DORIL INITIATIVE staff and programs.
The Marketing and Communications Intern will update and maintain DORILL INITIATIVE’s social media presence on Instagram, including scheduling Facebook updates. They will also assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter on MailChimp, design flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing materials for special events hosted by DORILL INITIATIVE. They will work directly with our Director of Strategic Development and Director of Strategic Outreach to reach out to community organizations, general public and donors with the message about DORILL INITIATIVE’s mission, collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions and venues for marketing and communications.
The Program Intern will gain non-profit management experience in an energized startup environment by supporting the expansion of Dorill Initiative’s Saturday Program. Communicate with applicants via phone and email about Dorill Initiative programs. Maintain current and accurate information about all program applicants and participants. The intern will work directly with the Executive Director and Director of Community Relations to develop and expand Dorill’s artistic, cultural, and educational programs for the youth.
The Legal Intern will gain non-profit management experience in an energized startup environment by supporting the Executive Director and Executive Committee of the Board of Directors providing assistance with corporate and board governance. The intern will mainly be responsible for interacting with Dorill Initiative’s key stakeholders including our board of directors, committee members, staff and community partners. Also, providing general support to human resources and general operations.
